Course Structure of MBBS in the UK

The cost structure and curriculum of MBBS or medicine at the UK universities is slightly different from how it is in India. An MB degree is awarded for students as it helps qualify a student to be a medical doctor. It is the minimum qualification that is required to practice as a doctor in the UK. These degrees are equal to each other and a student becomes eligible to practice as a surgeon after graduating them. Students who have an interest in obstetrics must pass the obstetrics exam. The degree allotted after qualifying for this exam is known as BAO (Bachelor of Obstetrics) Thus, MBBS in the UK is equivalent to MB (BS, ChB or Bch), BAO depending upon the university from which students have pursued their medical degree.

International students are required to have completed +2 certificate and NEET scores to apply for MBBS at UK universities.

How to Apply for MBBS in the UK

 The following are the steps to apply for MBBS at UK universities:

• Students must collect all the documents and get them verified by their respective authorities. If students are residing in a non-EU state, they must apply before September 1 and 30th June. Students who are from the EU state must apply before 15 January.
• Students can apply Through the UCAS portal or directly from the university’s website. Simply register yourself in either way and submit your application form.
